Richenza had the following activity posted on her website. Random amusement for me:

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open it to page 161.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the coolest book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.

Here's mine:

"'One sacked, one dead, one's memory removed, and one locked in a trunk for nine months,' said Harry, counting them off on his fingers."

Should I be disturbed that the nearest book to hand was the phone book?

Jas M & Theresa [Fox] Addy and phone number not posted.

Maybe I should call them and tell them how lucky they are?

"In applying the effects test, we ask whether the class of activities as a whole substantially affects interstate commerce, not whether any specific activity within the class has such effects when considered in isolation." Ah, the late, great Justice Rehnquist.

Is anyone really surprised that that was the book closest to my elbow?
